A personal assistant for Telegram

Iris is a personal assistant that runs inside Telegram and helps a single family handle everyday errands: it reads incoming mail, keeps an eye on the calendar, files tickets and documents, and tracks household spending. It is not a public service — two people use it, and registration is closed.

What Iris does

• scans incoming email and picks out tickets, bookings, bills and deadlines;
• offers to set a reminder — a calendar event is created only after the person confirms it;
• shows the day's schedule and books meetings from a plain text request;
• files tickets and documents so they can be pulled up quickly in chat;
• reads an expense export and works out the current balance.

Why Iris asks for Google access

Iris requests read-only access to Gmail, read and write access to Google Calendar, and read-only access to Google Drive. What each permission is used for, where the data is kept and who it is shared with is set out in the privacy policy.
